Top 5 Boy Bands You Love (or Love to Hate)
In honor of the New Kids on the Block reunion, KBM suggests the "Top 5 Boy Bands You Love (or Love to Hate)". She says it could be anything back to the Beatles or the Beach Boys (if you consider those boy bands) or Jackson 5, Menudo, on up to those new Jonas Brothers she's hearing about!

I love (in no particular order):
-New Kids on the Block (ok, this is #1 because I had a serious obsession for 2 years in middle school! I heart Joey!)
-Jackson 5 (rocked out to these guys as a tot)
-Boyz II Men (totally the best when I was in high school)
-Color Me Badd (filled in the time between NKOTB and B2M)
-Menudo (used to watch their show on Saturday mornings in grade school)

I've never been a big fan of Boy Bands, but I suppose I do love to hate:
1. Boyz II Men
2. Matchbox 20
3. Duncan Sheik
4. Goo Goo Dolls
5. Hootie and the Blowfish
1. Jackson 5
2. New Edition
I wish there were more boy bands out there I could actually list, but there ain't.
How did I ever possibly think that NKOTB was remotely attractive or cool?
Just further proof that kids are idiots.
Sigh.

My top 5 drama favs
#1 I have to pick someone from West Wing so I guess I'll go with Allison Janey. She grew with the show - it and she never disappointed me.
#2 There was a show on cable called Any Day Now starring Annie Potts. She was a lawyer/mom/wife/friend. It was an OK show made good by Annie.
#3 The show ER has been a fav of mine forever. I could make quite a list here, including Lyman's guy, but I'll go with John Carter, all american clean-cut white rich but nice in spite of it all boy.
#4 CSI Miami has Horatio Cane who just makes you hold your breath twice during the show each week till you see him turn sideways, push his jackket back with his pinkies, rest his hands on his hips and pause and say
"Well, Bucko, now he's never going to wake up, is he?.
." It is just so corny, it's cool.
#5 I watch a LOT of Law & Order and all those people are good. My favorite there is the District Attorney Jack McCord(?) funny, how you aren't really sure what the name is. Jack rarely second-guesses himself, isn't apologetic about the affairs that happened with the 3 interns under him, he always stresses he married one of them and they were all consentual. If he can't get you for one one crime, he'll get you for something else and he likes
to have a drink at the end of the day which is a good way to wrap up a show.
